Our Programs
Providing Everything You Need
PPE and Hygiene
The Coalition assembles individual-size packages of PPE and hygiene kits for homeless folks not residing in shelters. Kits include masks, hand sanitizer, soap, shampoo, deodorant, and other items. The Coalition also provides hand-washing stations at a limited number of homeless camps and maintains the stations with fresh water and soap.
Education Program
The Coalition offers individuals and organizations cultural competence education about homelessness. Please stay connected to find out more details coming soon. If you are interested in having the Coalition come to speak at your organization, please email education@columbushomeless.org
Membership Meetings
The Coalition holds a monthly meeting, every first Wednesday of the month at 9:00am, to identify needs and gaps in the system, discuss issues that require advocacy and other actions, and coordinate resources and services. Meetings often include presentations from service providers and others involved in serving homeless populations. Interested in joining? CLICK HERE
Mother’s Day Brunch / Recognition
Each year a dedicated committee of the Coalition hosts a Mother’s Day event for homeless women who are mothers. The event includes a delicious meal and programming for mothers along with a small gift to honor their love and service to their families.
Memorial Service
The Memorial Service is held annually to honor and remember people who have passed away while homeless in Columbus. Held on or near the longest night of the year in December, the service includes inspiring speakers, music, and reading of names of those who died.
